Rod Ben Zeev is an actor and director based in Amsterdam. Rod began writing theater plays under Nobel Prize winning writer Derek Walcott while obtaining a B.A. degree in English Literature at Boston University. In 2002 he set up a program teaching improvisational comedy at retirement homes in Chicago and, in 2003, directed a show featuring retirees Ginny, Harriet, Florence and Connie together with members of The Second City, Annoyance Theater and Baby Wants Candy at the Chicago Improv Festival. Rod also performed improv on the Chicago subway platform that occasionally earned him back his fare. In 2004, he wrote and acted in 65 episodes of the television show Amazing History for RaiTre. He also completed his M.A. degree at the University of Amsterdam by filming a documentary titled Kamiriithu in Kenya as his thesis. In 2005, he worked for Boom Chicago as a corporate show actor and appeared in several episodes of Gotcha! this season for Veronica Television.
